Roles & Responsibilities
System Management and Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring uptime and efficiency.
- Conduct system updates, patches, and backups as needed.
Network Administration
- Manage and maintain the organization's LAN, WAN, and VPN networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Configure firewalls, routers, and switches to enhance security and performance.
User Support
- Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect systems and data.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Respond to security breaches and implement corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, changes, and support requests.
- Create documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Generate reports on system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with other IT staff on projects and system integrations.
- Research and recommend innovative approaches to improve IT infrastructure.
On perm and Cloud support
- At least 2+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for at least 2 years.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash for automation.
- Over 2 years of experience applying cybersecurity principles and using relevant tools to enhance system security.
